Your Guardian-Lord is God, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days. and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil over the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds!
I looked at the back of my barrack in Kanawai block of Kepayan Police Quarters. I see the field, car park, mango trees, a stall and one huge building. It have a dome and at the top of the dome there is a pinacle and at the end of the spire, there is a small structure of crescent and star. Golden-yellowish in colour, it is gorgeous.
Last year, a friend of mine told me that the usage of crescent and star in Islam is something which have its historical facts. I was like, “Oh yeah?!”. The issue stopped there.
Yesterday, i came across to one of my fella’s blog which have a question about why do the Masjeed in Malaysia have crescent and star at the spire? He have his own answer.
Basically, yesterday I’ve googled about it and found a nice article about this issue. Here is the link.
Glad to read the article, and am looking forward for Malaysian journalist to come up with such article.
p/s: recalled a quote of my teacher, who got it from her husband.
Walau di mana kita berada lihatlah bulan, kerana bulan yang kita lihat itu tetap sama
